After 47 years of being a private pay nursing home, Dow Rummel Village is now a Medicare and Medicaid certified skilled nursing home. 
On Monday, May 3, our first Medicare resident was admitted to our skilled nursing home.
It is exciting for us to be able to enhance our continuing care by offering rehab through Medicare Part A in our nursing home and utilizing Medicare Part B throughout the entire campus.  
Together with our partner, Aegis Therapies, we intend to bring the superb quality of care for which we are known to these newly-established rehab services.  Our residents now have the opportunity to come home to Dow Rummel to receive their Medicare benefit for rehab/therapy instead of going to another facility.   
We are also happy to report that we have several residents who are now recipients of Medicaid benefits.  
We are excited and proud to add these additional benefits to the list of advantages of living at a continuing care retirement community like Dow Rummel Village.
