LEGISLATIVE ALERT!

Dow Rummel Village and the South Dakota Health Care Association need your
help!

South Dakota's elderly, disabled and those who care for them need and
deserve your support!

Please contact your Senator or Representative now! Legislators will soon
vote to determine Medicaid Funding for Nursing Home Providers.

Points to make with your Senator or Representative:

.. Please urge your Senator or Representative to preserve Medicaid
Funding for Nursing Homes.

.. South Dakota Nursing Facilities' Medicaid reimbursement is already
being under funded by over $16 million annually.

.. Medicare rates to Nursing Facilities were cut on October 1, 2009,
and those cuts continue.

.. South Dakota Long Term Caregivers did not receive a Medicaid
inflationary increase this year, and the Governor's budget proposal does not
include an increase for next year.

.. Four South Dakota Nursing Facilities have closed.

.. South Dakota Nursing Homes employ approximately 7,432 individuals.
The total direct and indirect economic impact resulting from those jobs is
estimated at $830.8 million.

South Dakota's elderly and disabled need your support NOW to maintain the
quality of health care they expect and deserve!
