Some Lenten Questions (contd.)
We continue Pastor Tim's series on the questions about Lent that many people
have on their minds at this time of year. Today the answer to a question
that has puzzled many of us over the years.
How in the world is the date of Easter determined each year?
According to a decision of the Council of Nicaea (325 A.D.), Easter falls on
the Sunday following the first full moon after the spring equinox (March
21). In practice, this means that Easter can never be earlier than March 22
or later than April 25. This year in 2010 Easter will fall on April 4th.
